Cottesmore School is a boarding prep school for children, aged 7 to 13. Cottesmore is a community with a warmth that children immediately respond to, where every member of staff knows every pupils’ names and their hopes and dreams. Children at Cottesmore feel nurtured, safe and happy; school swiftly becomes a home from home. A plethora of mathematical, scientific, creative, linguistic, sporting and technological opportunities are filtered through the school’s unofficial motto ‘Everyone has a talent’. Cottesmore excels at ‘modern’ boarding.
Boarding is offered at Cottesmore from Year 3 (Aged 7). For children who start boarding in Year 3, we offer a composite class of Year 3 and Year 4 children.
All Year 3 and Year 4 children play sport daily together and represent the school in matches at least once a week. Due to the homely structure of the building all children are able to socialise, interact and form strong friendships across the year groups. The openness and warmth of the community allows for these friendships to prosper, grow and continue through all their years at Cottesmore and beyond.
